Distribution Support Officer

Key Accountabilities

  • Creates new accounts by organizing and planning daily route schedule to build on existing or potential sales outlets
  • Achieves 100% visibility standards in all the outlets that Surfline products are available
  • Ensures availability of Surfline products in all Distribution/sales outlets in assigned territory within the region
  • Focuses on sales, study the type of sales outlets and adjust content of sales presentations through the determination of potential retailers
  • Reviews distributor inventory levels and manage stocking orders as well as replenishment and report same to the Regional Sales Manager / Line Manager
  • Works with the Regional Sales Manager / Line Manager to ensure proper balance between the distributors’ key objectives and that of Surfline.
  • Maintains strong business relationships with the employees and retailers of the assigned “Key Distributor”
  • Works with sales outlets and partners to create promotions that coexist with the broader promotional strategies of Surfline.
  • Coordinates Subscriber and Trade Activations and any other distributor/trade events intended to drive incremental sales growth for Surfline.
  • Manages distributor Sales Agents (DSAs) and ensure the visibility of right products(SKUs) and price lists sent to trade.
  • Gathers current marketplace information on newly introduced products, delivery schedules, pricing, and merchandising techniques in order to monitor competition
  • Investigates problems; prepare reports; develop solutions, and make recommendations to the Regional Sales Manager in order to resolve customer complaints
  • Aligns the Regional Sales Manager / Line Manager of sales trends by providing historical records on customer inquiries and sales
  • Contributes to team efforts in accomplishing organizational goals and performs other duties as assigned.

Person Specification


  • HND or Bachelor’s degree or equivalent certificate in any field

Knowledge & Experience:

  • IT literacy or very good understanding of devices, terminals and mobile broadband
  • Sales experience is a plus
  • Strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
  • Experience in telecommunications or mobile industry desirable
  • Able to operate in a performance driven organisation
  • Fluent in English
