Digital Community Engagement Officer

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Set and implement social media and communication campaigns to align with marketing strategy.
  • Distribute engaging text, image and video content for social media accounts.
  • Respond to comments and customer queries in a timely manner.
  • Join various online groups to canvas for visibility and sales.
  • Monitor and report on feedback and online reviews.
  • Participate in online events to build community and boost brand awareness.
  • Coordinate with Brand Communication & Digital Marketing Supervisor to ensure brand consistency.
  • Build relationships with online customers, potential customers and industry professionals to generate sales leads.
  • Stay up-to-date with digital technology trends and quickly adopt for community growth.

EDUCATION

  • Minimum of a good First Degree in Marketing

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Proven work experience as a community manager
  • Ability to create engaging content, schedule posts, write great copy and grow reach.
  • Experience in launching and growing community initiatives (e.g. building and engaging online groups and social media pages)
  • Ability to identify and track relevant community metrics (e.g. Top Fans, Post likers etc)
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Hands on experience with social media management for brands
  • Ability to interpret website traffic and online customer engagement metrics
  • Knowledge of online marketing and marketing channels
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Must be creative
